2020 CO US Senate Election- The Democratic frontrunners are Griswold and Neguse- if they both enter.

If Griswold wins the Democratic Nomination and defeats Gardner-R in the November General Election. Neguse gets appointed CO Secretary of State to suceed Griswold.
If Neguse wins the Democratic Nomination and defeats Gardner-R in the November General Election. Griswold remains as CO Secretary of State. Griswold's next high profile statewide office is CO Governor in 2026 when Polis leaves office due to term limits. If Bennet-D retires from the US Senate in 2022 or 2028, Griswold could run for that seat.

Makes politicians look too ambitious and cynical about elective office when after barely taking one office they immediately run for another office.

If Griswold loses in the Democratic Primary, she continues serving as CO Secretary of State.
If Neguse loses in the Democratic Primary, he will be out of office.
