Related: About this forumLaurence Fox loses libel battle with Twitter users he called paedophiles
The actor and rightwing activist Laurence Fox has lost a high court libel battle with two men he called paedophiles after they called him a racist. The former actor defamed the men when he used the slur on social media, Mrs Justice Collins Rice has ruled.
...
Fox, 45, called Blake and the former RuPauls Drag Race contestant, whose real name is Colin Seymour, paedophiles in an exchange about a decision by Sainsburys to provide a safe space for black employees during Black History Month.
...
Collins Rice said: Mr Foxs labelling of Mr Blake and Mr Seymour as paedophiles was, on the evidence, probabilities and facts of this case, seriously harmful, defamatory and baseless.
The law affords few defences to defamation of this sort. Mr Fox did not attempt to show these allegations were true, and he was not able to bring himself on the facts within the terms of any other defence recognised in law.

The article has numerous quotes from Fox that make describing him as "a racist" a fair summary. He really did lose it some time ago. I wonder if the Reform UK Party is by now pissed off that his 'Reclaim party' (I have no idea if it really is a viable political party by now) has so close a name? He says out loud the kind of thing that Reform UK supporters may well believe, but are meant to keep quiet about.

(119,888 posts)1. It was disappointing to learn what an ass he is. I liked him in "Lewis".

As bad as he clearly is, it's not good at all to watch somebody descend into madness in real time on Twitter.
I'm especially looking at his buddy Calvin Robinson here to be honest. If he wants to be taken seriously as a clergyman he might want to stop egging Laurence Fox on when he does stupid things and start giving some proper pastoral care to the man.

I'm scared of him. He needs help.
