Wrongful death suit filed against UW Family Medicine and CRMC

CHEYENNE – A Pennsylvania man is suing Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s laboratory, the University of Wyoming Family Medicine clinic and others he says are responsible for the 2014 death of his wife.

Diane Marie Campbell, 54, died May 2, 2014, after going to UW Family Medicine in Cheyenne around 10 a.m. on May 1, 2014, complaining of difficulty urinating, shaking and uncontrollable jerking motions of her upper body.

Her husband, Patrick Campbell, who now lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Laramie County District Court on Aug. 18.

His complaint says that “the care Christopher Boyd, his supervising physicians, and (an unnamed defendant) provided Diane Marie Campbell fell below the acceptable level of medical skill, knowledge, care and diligence practiced under the same or similar conditions.”
