You mean those folksy, slack-jawed, aw shucks, yokel ads done with the Yooper accent? The ones where he talks about reducing waste and fraud like the DOGE boys? The ones where he talks about milking cows as if that qualifies him to be governor? Those ads?
We will have to agree to disagree.
I get a laugh from the incredibly simplistic, north woods Gomer Pyle nature of the ads. I believe he's appealing to the Repuglican base. None of his ads convince me that he's anything more than a pro-life, pro-death, Fox-watching, Trump-sucking, conservative MAGAt.
His ads will change as soon as the Dems narrow the field from seven to one in the August primary. Tiffany will pivot. The slack-jawed yokel will become a vicious, froth-mouthed, lying attack dog. He will disgustingly embrace his upcoming Trump endorsement.

(826 posts)I'm leaning towards Sara Rodriguez but only because I know very little about the other six.
I've got some research to do between now and August. Electability in the general election is my primary concern.

(826 posts)RandySF is spot on. Hong is a non-starter. I learned that Missy Hughs has already dropped out. Crowly is a career Milwaukee politician but no one outside Milwaukee knows him. Rodriguez is a registered nurse with Peace Corps experience, is the current Lieutenant Governor, and has business leadership experience. Brennen has Tom Berrett connections (a good thing), a Masters in public policy, and is a fierce progressive negotiator in the Wisconsin senate. Roys has a dream liberal/progressive track record, but in the past, she's been a little too liberal to win in a general election (Repugs would do to her what they did to Kamala). Barns is a solid progressive career politician with a lousy election track record although he nearly beat Ron Johnson when that seat was up for grabs.
We can't afford to screw this up. I'm going with electabilty above all else.
