Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer campaigns for Harris campaign in Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. -- Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers are putting aside their differences this week for on a "Blue Wall Bus Tour" across Wisconsin supporting the Harris-Walz campaign.
"Being on this bus the entire day with Governor Whitmer has been a joy," Evers told a room full of supporters at a Harris campaign office on Madison's West side. "The only time we argue is when we're talking about the Lions and the Packers."
But why is it so crucial for Michigan and Wisconsin’s top Democrats to rally voters in their own states? Well, it could win their party the White House.
"These so-called 'Blue Wall,' Great Lake states are the key to Harris’s winning electoral majority," said political science expert and director of the Marquette Law School poll Charles Franklin.
