Gilded-Age Republicans were a rotten bunch: business-friendly, labor-hostile, and more than willing to do big business and millionaires big favors. Sounds like todays Republicans, right?
Not quite. Unlike Scott Walkers brand of Republican, when Gilded Age Republicans raided the taxpayers purse, THEY ACTUALLY GOT THINGS DONE. And at least once in a while they tried to get the government a good bargain.
Scott Walker-style Republicans, and every Republican weve seen this century. CANT! Not only grifters, but incompetent grifters.
