Michael Gableman shows his priorities...

I mean, get a LIFE!

Gableman disparages how head of elections panel dresses

The former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice leading a taxpayer-funded investigation into the 2020 election criticized how the leader of the bipartisan state elections commission dresses

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice leading a taxpayer-funded investigation into the 2020 election criticized how the leader of the bipartisan state elections commission dresses during a radio interview.

Michael Gableman was hired by Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to look into the 2020 election. He has released two widely panned preliminary reports and his contract runs through the end of April, but there are multiple ongoing lawsuits related to the probe.

Gableman appeared on WTAQ-AM on Tuesday and criticized a wide array of officials, including Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, Attorney General Josh Kaul, two judges and five members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Wednesday.

But the Meagan Wolfe, the leader of the commission, was the only one he singled out for how she dresses.

“Black dress, white pearls — I’ve seen the act, I’ve seen the show,” Gableman said.

When host Joe Giganti said he recently saw Wolfe wearing a gold locket rather than pearls, Gableman responded, “Oh, Hillary Clinton.”

Wolfe, who was confirmed to her job by the Republican-controlled Senate, issued a written statement in response.

“I’m a professional who takes my job seriously,” Wolfe said. “Comments directed at my appearance are a far cry from being serious, and are beneath anybody who purports to be undertaking a review of subject matter as important as election integrity.”

Making fun of how people dress is just sad.

That said, I can't count the number of posts I've read here disparaging Kristen Sinema's fashion sense. Particularly when there's so much else about her to comment on.

Midweek in Wisconsin—and we're spending so much time in the 30s and 40s you'd think we were all listening to Bob Hope on the radio! < rimshot! >

Here's the tl;dr on today's newsletter:

Of course he went there. Michael Gableman was boorish even before he became a state Supreme Court justice. You would think he'd try to tone it down while doing an "investigation" of a presidential election. But there he was Tuesday on a right-wing radio station in Green Bay disparaging Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe—for how she dresses. Classy.

Gableman's radio rant included more attacks on those who helped nursing home residents vote safely in the early months of the coronavirus pandemic. A lawsuit on that topic was heard today by the state Supreme Court.

Several candidates hoping to succeed US Rep. Ron Kind in the 3rd Congressional District have held their first public forum.

Left Without Any Factual Reason to Attack the State's Top Elections Administrator, Gableman Goes After Her Looks.

Another day, another talk show rant from Republican election inquisitor Michael Gableman. The former state Supreme Court justice lashed out on Tuesday at Wisconsin’s top elections official, Meagan Wolfe—even going so far as to attack her style of dress and jewelry.

“Black dress, white pearls—I’ve seen the act. I’ve seen the show,” Gableman said as he and a WTAQ Radio host promoted a conspiracy theory about nursing home workers helping residents vote safely during a pandemic based on guidance provided by the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which Wolfe serves as administrator.

Gableman—who did not vote in last week’s elections because he was visiting former President Donald Trump at his Florida estate—
said the voter assistance provided by WEC guidance in 2020 was a scheme to “wring a few ballots” out of nursing home residents. He referred to it as “elder abuse” and said it was a reason why Wolfe “ought not to be the administrator of our Wisconsin Elections Commission.”

A “few ballots” would not have changed statewide election results, and Gableman did not explain why a top state official would break the law to change “a few ballots.”

In a written response about Gableman’s insults, Wolfe said, “Comments directed at my appearance are a far cry from being serious and are beneath anybody who purports to be undertaking a review of subject matter as important as election integrity."

He thinks she should look like an angry fat thug?
(Apologies, but I live in Wisconsin and am a poll worker. G-thug's only goal is to damage our elections, at our taxpayer expense.)
