Tommy Thompson won’t rule out run for governor

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Tommy Thompson, who was elected four times as Wisconsin governor and is wrapping up a stint as interim University of Wisconsin System president, said Tuesday that he’s not ruling out another run for governor.

The 80-year-old Republican told WISN-TV that “everything is on the table.”

“I’m not saying it’s in the cards,” Thompson told WISN. “But, I’m physically and mentally capable of doing anything.”

Thompson said he would discuss his future with his family in April. He is resigning as interim UW president on March 18.

need to realize that we need to step aside and let younger people take over. New ideas and hopefully better governing. He's 80 years old! Let it go.

But JFC. Where are all the decent conservatives not on the brink of a nursing home stay?

And I use the word "decent" only mockingly. Thompson is only better than the crazies now. He was a leading crazy in the 1990s.
