I have driven on the very intersection especially in one of my jobs.

There is a fire station with paramedics 250 yards or less behind the photographer. edit: 250 yards, not 100. Wrong side of the overpass.

A good hospital a mile south.

Rush hour is over. What should have been the safest time of the morning was not.

Driving in Madison is difficult in the Isthmus area. This accident was not there. I would say its one of the best designed intersections of Madison.

Driving accidents, car thefts and school incidents are are frequently in the headlines.

So know the area quite well. Sad to see this. I haven't seen names, yet. Hopefully no one I know.

My housemate was in retail.

We agreed that issues involving other drivers, traffic conditions were integral to the larger picture of the Madison area.
