Dane County mask mandate apparently optional at Menards

Been to Menards a few times in the Madison area the last couple of weeks and each time my subjective analysis says more people (mostly young to middle aged white dudes) are not wearing masks. Today I had enough and asked the checkout lady why they aren't confronted and she first said "oh don't get me started" (oops too late) and then told me if they remind customers to wear a mask they will get fired. I then walked over to the service desk and asked the manager why they don't enforce the mandate in Dane County and she said it was corporate policy straight from Eau Claire.

Don't love Home Depot either but at least they wear masks there.

4. Kwik Trip is the same.

They didn’t enforce the mask mandate last time so we never went in. Stopped tonight and 2 people not wearing masks. Won’t be back.

Wasn't it the other way around? Menards enforced and Home Depot didn't? I hate going in those places. On occasions I don't have a choice.
