Republicans order audit of Wisconsin’s 2020 election

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Republican state lawmakers have ordered an audit of Wisconsin’s election, three months after Donald Trump’s narrow loss that was affirmed during a partial recount and following rejection of several lawsuits alleging wrongdoing.

The GOP-controlled Joint Legislative Audit Committee on Thursday ordered the audit to be done by the nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau.

No significant problems were found with Wisconsin’s voting machines after audits and recounts in 2016 and 2020.

Go ahead and conduct an audit of the 2020 election. Spend the tax-payers' money on a frivolous hunt for non-existent "facts."

The fun will start when your non-partisan Bureau doesn't find any substantial evidence of fraudulent voting. How will you spin that?

You Republicans are really stupid. You can't win fair elections so you have to cheat or muddy the waters such that half of the electorate don't trust the fair elections.

Here's a hint, GOP. Enact policies that help all Americans and you'll win fair elections. But then you'd be Democrats.

I've forgotten which state-- maybe Wisconsin!-- did a recount and found several hundred more votes for President Biden.

Actually, I think it was Georgia and I'm too lazy to search for the info!

By the way, I'm a cheesehead by birth and was always proud of my middle American roots. That was shattered when Wisconsin elected Scott Walker to the governorship and then kept him when they held a recall vote. Very disappointing.

An all too common occurrence, in every election, across all of America's 3700+ counties.

Wisconsin can do it too, and we should, after the decade of despair caused by GOP greed and spite.

Revenge is how I may vote, in the primaries and depending how polling is trending, in the general elections.
Hell,... I might even waste $5 to join the GOP to make more 'Good Trouble' anywhere I can.
