Wisconsin: Images of the Badger State

The terrain of Wisconsin was heavily shaped by glaciation during the last Ice Age, and today, much of its population lives in the lowlands along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Wisconsin is the 20th-most-populated state, with more than 5.8 million residents, and the 23rd-largest state at 65,500 square miles. Here are a few glimpses of the landscape of Wisconsin and some of the wildlife and people calling it home.

1. I love the state of Wisconsin I have vacationed there

quite a bit in the last 40 years. Ever since the days of snot Walker I've been going elsewhere. It's a shame because it is a beautiful place with lots to do. I can't take all the trump yard signs and bumper stickers. I still like to take the grandkids to Kenosha for lunch and a trolley ride along the lake.

2. I miss the old Wisconsin as well.

I had lots of family connections there. Used to love to drive up and patronize the local taverns, do the bike trails. Living in Chicago we called it "up north". Loved the fishing too. Don't feel like I'd be welcome now.

4. I lived there in the

beginning of the 1980s, I loved it there, found and lost the love of my life there. I still have fond memories of warm summer days enjoying the rich greens and abundant countryside. I still miss that. I have relatives there but I haven't been in touch since the last family funeral.
