Free Covid tests in Wisconsin

Just got this email from my rep, Tammy Baldwin. Dane County still on lockdown until further notice. Testing site across the street from my daughter at Alliant Energy Center, John Nolen Drive, Madison....

Dear XXXX,

Senator Baldwin wanted to make sure you were aware that free COVID-19 diagnostic tests are currently available throughout the state for Wisconsin residents. The State Emergency Operations Center, Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Emergency Management, and Wisconsin National Guard are working with local health departments to offer these community testing events.

Any Wisconsin resident over the age of 5 experiencing COVID-19 symptoms is welcome at these sites. Learn more about COVID-19 symptoms here. https://outreach.senate.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=SenBaldwin&crop=15701.14954898.8028874.8623362&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.dhs.wisconsin.gov%2fcovid-19%2fsymptoms.htm&redir_log=649968543299357

Each site may have different requirements. Some sites may ask you to stay in your car. Other sites will screen you before you come indoors. Many sites will require an appointment before you arrive.

Click here for a map displaying current testing sites in Wisconsin. This map will be updated daily. https://outreach.senate.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=SenBaldwin&crop=15701.14954898.8028874.8623362&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.dhs.wisconsin.gov%2fcovid-19%2ftesting.htm&redir_log=811011900093347

Additional information on this free testing:

Turnaround time for test results is typically 24-48 hours. During this time, it is important that you avoid contact with others
This is a nasal swab test
Testing is free of charge
Wisconsin has made great progress in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Let’s continue to put public health and safety first. We are all in this together.
Sincerely,

The Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin

Thank you, Tammy!

Too bad it is not everybody.

At least someone in WI besides Evers has sense.

But we’ll take what we can get. We’ve been abandoned by our national and state government and left to our municipalities. Luckily I live where I do now and not Rapids.

it would not hurt to make sure. There was some relief. I hope this is offered across the country.
