(6,656 posts)Kathleen Vinehout has the best chance statewide.
Edited to add: but I think the Democratic Powers that Be will take her down before the primary.

(3,577 posts)Kathleen has more support outstate than any of the others. Her twelve years in the Senate give her more experience than the others in the whole spectrum of state government. In debates, most of the others spend their time restating the problem at issue with heartfelt rhetoric and say they will fight to solve it, but she actually tells you how she will do it.

35% undecided in mid-June
I'm afraid the vast majority of people don't know much at all about Evers or most of the others.

(18,967 posts)on paper Mahon Mitchell looks good...what's the downside?
Kelda looks promising...is she electable?
Opinions are welcomed....

(17,790 posts)Marc Pocan and Kelda Roys both ran for it. Pocan was the heir apparent for the seat. Roys ran some nasty ads against him and it totally backfired on her.
I like what she has to say but I don't think I could ever vote for her.
Mahlon Mitchell is awesome, and he's a black union leader. But its hard for me to imagine Wisconsin electing him to be governor, with all the Ron Johnson types we have in this state.

(3,577 posts)I like Mahlon as a person, and he can passionately describe all the problems facing Wisconsin, but I fear he will have a very steep learning curve if he becomes governor. One other thing is that in debates he seems a bit too ready to make jokes before he gets down to answering the question.
As for Kelda, I think she is mainly all about Kelda. I like something more in my politicians.

(1,736 posts)Evers has experience directing a large and important statewide agency. I also think the issue of improvement in education and managing rural districts is a winning issue for this cycle.
I like Roys a bit more that Mitchell and Vineout as a new voice. I do think that Mitchell has a better chance of winning among these 3. I have respect for Vineout, but I don't know if she will be appealing in s statewide race. She has experience and fire but polish may be limited with her.
