Ever since northern neighbors Wisconsin and Minnesota veered off in opposite directions politically, a rhetorical border war has been fanned over the competing parties and policies that have guided them.
The latest volley comes from a liberal research group, the Economic Policy Institute, which finds that on a multitude of key measures, Minnesotas economic performance over the past seven years has been markedly better than that of its neighbor to the east.
Put another way, Minnesota has fared better economically under Democrats than Wisconsin has under Republicans, according to a study released Tuesday by the Washington, D.C.-based organization.

(2,228 posts)but he was no where the level of corrupt dimwit that walker is. he at least tried to help... in his own clumsy way. at least he wasn't a semi-cross eyed, self-interested ass goblin that only does what he's told by the money from outside the state... and inside as well... this plus his lt.guv not being a completely insane religious nutbag helps to temper my feelings towards him. the teabaggers today would hate thompson (yet another plus).
well i was young and dumb when he was guv (but smart enough not to vote for him)

I was born and raised in Madison, was always so proud of the progressive history of Wisconsin, the "onward" direction, now, am so disgusted can barley mention I was once a proud native. Ugh......Wanker and Ryan both disgraces to the once proud tradition of principles.
