Boeing buys long-leased property near Everett factory

The Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) purchased a nearly 45-acre property it had been leasing just north of Paine Field Airport and the company's Everett factory at the end of last year, according to Snohomish County records.

The jet maker purchased the nearly 320,000-square-foot office and industrial space for $54 million, according to a tax affidavit filed on Dec. 30.

Boeing had leased the property at 6001 36th Ave. W. for more than a decade as the sole tenant. The property's last assessed value was $55.1 million.

Cushman & Wakefield brokers Pat Mutzel, Nico Napolitano and Jeffrey Cole represented the sellers, Arka Properties Group and Black Equities Group, both Beverly Hills, California-based real estate investment firms.
