All about the Union Gap School District Bond on the ballot this November
UNION GAP, Wash. The Union Gap School District (UGSD) is asking voters to consider passing its upcoming bond, the fourth time its been run. The cost: no more than $11,900,000.
It would transform Physical Education, and some of the safety features, making our school more secure and safe in our eyes, said Tony Silver, the director of Operations at the Union Gap School District.
This bond, if passed, includes a new gymnasium, upgraded security to include entry point access controls, a kitchen expansion, expanded parking and additional playground area and equipment.
We don't have a buzz-in system. It's one of the newest when schools are being built, they actually are building buzz in systems. But our school was built in 2009 when there wasn't those types of safety measures, said Superintendent Lisa Gredvig with the Union Gap School District.
