Southbound I-405 to be closed near Bothell this weekend
BOTHELL — Weekend I-405 travelers will need to find another route this weekend.
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, southbound I-405 will be closed between the Highway 522 interchange and the Highway 527 interchange for paving work. The interstate is expected to reopen at 4 a.m. Monday.
The work is part of the I-405/Brickyard to Highway 527 Improvement Project covering about 4½ miles near the border of Snohomish and King counties. It’s expected to be completed by 2028.
The $834 million project will add a second toll lane on I-405 and improve access to Sound Transit’s Stride bus rapid transit system.
