Snohomish County corrections deputies get new contract
EVERETT — Snohomish County Council approved a new contract with the Snohomish County Corrections Guild last week.
The current agreement expires on Dec. 31, with the new contract to begin on Jan. 1, 2025. The contract is for a period of four years.
The contract includes several changes for about 150 guild members, including a clause that sets conditional voluntary overtime at 2.25 times their normal wages. Probationary periods will be increased from nine to 12 months and employees in good standing will be allowed to cash out their sick leave upon separation.
The new contract includes a monetary recruitment incentive.
