CHICKEN AND TUNA PRICE FIXING Settlements deadline

The Washington State Attorney General’s Office filed lawsuits against more than 20 corporations that make and sell chicken and canned tuna because they secretly agreed to raise prices for these products in violation of state and federal laws that encourage competition in the marketplace and help keep prices down for consumers.

Single member households will receive a refund check for $50.00. Households of two members or more will receive a refund check for $120.00.

I'm not impoverished enough. Only if you make less than 175% of the federal poverty level is the gummint interested in sending some of this price fixing money back your way. TRANSLATION: While I like the fact that the poor folks get some help from this settlement, I'm still feeling cheated by the fact that no money is being taken from these evil companies for stealing from me and my family.
