LIHI apartment project on Aurora begins leasing as completion nears

The Low Income Housing Institute is nearing completion of a 104-unit project at 8700 Aurora Ave. N. in North Seattle.

The seven-story, 82,000-square-foot project, called John Fox Place, has begun leasing and is expected to finish in October.

It's aimed at households earning up to 60% of King County’s area median income. Under the income formula, a single person making between $34,500 and $47,500 a year can rent a 400-square-foot studio for $1,150 a month.

In addition to studios, the building will have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus a community room, computer lab, classroom, rooftop deck, courtyard and children’s play area. Five of the apartments will be for homeless veterans and 12 units will be for homeless families and individuals.
