Local ski resorts extend seasons as a result of new snow

It's the weekend skiers and snowboarders were dreading.

Most local resorts marked April 16th as the last day for seasonal operations. Now, the calendar looks very different.

On Snoqualmie, some of the runs will be open for day skiing on the weekend through the end of the month.

In an average season, the Summit gets 249" of snow. They've gotten 272" of snow so far this season.
