Bumbershoot Returns To Seattle This Year With Cheaper Tickets
SEATTLE Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival will return for Labor Day weekend this year for the first time since 2019, celebrating its 50th anniversary in September with much cheaper tickets. The longtime cultural staple will return under new leadership, with Seattle-based New Rising Sun taking over producing duties from AEG Presents.
According to The Stranger, one of the event's sponsors, the new iteration of Bumbershoot will have a more local focus and incorporate more art, dance, and wrestling exhibitions in addition to the musical acts.
Bumbershoot revealed its arts programming lineup Tuesday but fans will have to wait a little longer to know which bands will be playing this year. Officials promised multiple stages of music with lineups to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Early bird tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 24, priced at $50 for single-day admission and $85 for two-day passes about half what they cost in 2019. The festival is taking applications for on-site food vendors through the end of March.
