New Kent Sheriff's Office seeks public's help in finding person who dumped dog with broken legs & BBs in him on Route 60
NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- On Tuesday, June 23, a male dog was found along eastbound Route 60 near The Brothers Italian restaurant.
A veterinarian examined the dog, now named "Fred," and discovered both of his front legs were broken.
Additionally, the veterinarian also discovered between 10 and 20 BBs embedded within Fred's body.
They advised that this seemed consistent with buckshot.
If you recognize Fred, or if you have any information about where he may have come from, you are asked to contact the New Kent Sheriff's Office immediately.
"Even the smallest piece of information could help us learn what happened to Fred," authorities said.
