The core localities of the Shenandoah Valley are one of those already-red areas where Youngkin improved by several % points. But the turnout change from 2017 was also important: he nearly doubled Gillespie's raw vote margin (19K up to almost 36K). Those gains added up. #VAGov

Very very red area. They are still pissed about the outcome of the civil war, I saw a barn painting
of Jesus and Trump with their arms around each other with a sun setting behind them and a flying
eagle, and lots & lots of Evangelical Christian Taliban people and Churches.
