1. I went to UVM.

This doesn't surprise me in the least.

In 2006 Vermonters elected Jim Douglas (Republican) has their governor the same year they sent Bernie Sanders to the Senate.

Douglas won again in 2008 despite Barack Obama winning the state by a huge margin.
