Vermont Police Investigating Theft Of Legal Pot Plants

EAST CHARLESTON, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of four legal marijuana plants that were stolen from behind a fence where they were being grown in the town of East Charleston.

Owner Joshua Newcity is offering to give the plants to anyone who provides the tip that enables police to press charges against the thieves.

And Newcity is warning other legal marijuana growers to protect their crops.

The Caledonian Record reports that on Thursday, thieves stole two 5-foot-tall plants from behind a 7-foot privacy fence. Two other plants were taken from near Newcity's front door.

Inkster Mi. and had a couple of plants behind my garage. They got really big, over 7 feet. I was kind of counting down the days until harvest and I noticed in the next yard a round patch of ground where an above ground poll had been a nice patch of plants. I kept thinking about jumping the fence and grabbing a bud or two, just to check em out.
So, one night after work, about 2:00 AM, I got home and snuck back there for the big heist and saw they were all gone. Then I turned around and mine were gone also. Dang Karma got me.

Then 20 years later I was at a friends house and got to talking about growing a few plants. Turns out his girl friend lived in that house. Then the big surprise. She said the cops came that day and picked theirs and mine. All those years I thought it was a low down plant pot smoker had grabbed em all.

I'm sure that the police took a crime report to make it all seem on the up and up. I bet they never find the weed though.

But, I never even got that.

Inkster cops were not the best back then. Glad to have them take the plants and not me.

Back then, my life seemed like a Cheech and Chong movie.

The cops told him not to grow in the back yard, and he agreed not to call them if it happened again. 😄
