LUNENBURG, Vt. (WCAX) - A man wanted for murder in Massachusetts was captured by police in Vermont on Wednesday.
Vermont State Police say they were alerted by Massachusetts authorities Wednesday morning that a man wanted in a deadly stabbing was believed to be in Waterford. Troopers responded to the area, and then Essex County sheriffs deputies found the suspects car in a pull-off along Route 2 in Lunenburg at about 10:45 a.m.
Police say Kevin Digregorio, 33, of Randolph, Massachusetts, was arrested without incident. He was ordered held without bail as a fugitive from justice and is due in court in Vermont on Thursday.
Digregorio is wanted in Massachusetts for murder, assault to kill, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police there say Digregorio stabbed two people in Brockton and one of them died.
