Texas early voting turnout exceeds 2024 primary elections, so far

TEXAS — There’s one week left for early voting for the March primaries, and so far, voters seem to be flocking to the polls.

According to data from the Texas Secretary of State, in Dallas County, more than double the amount of voters have cast an early ballot in the 2026 primaries than in the 2024 primaries, which occurred during a presidential election year.

The county saw over 100,000 people vote by the end of day Sunday. Over 77,000 of those ballots were for the Democratic primary.

These turnout numbers come as Texas races take center stage in national headlines.
