We are expecting some cold weather (by Houston standards).

The face book page for my subdivision had a listing of places with winterizing materials. By the time I got there, they were out of faucet covers but I did get some tubing. While I was in line, someone told another customer to use Whataburger cups. I had to look and here is what I found

We cut the tubing and wrapped the main pipe and the faucets and so we did not need the Whataburger cups.

For 2023, the lowest temperature for Houston was 33 degrees. We have the faucets and pipes wrapped with foam insulation that should be fine. I just was amused by the Whataburger story

(13,836 posts)2. Maybe you can get bubble wrap from the office store.
Should work, in my estimation. The fancy covers are just some poly foam in a black baggie sleeve.
Good luck.
