The Fort Worth Police Department is advising residents to stay away from downtown as it responds to reports of an explosion at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Hotel, 810 Houston St.
Both police and fire are on the scene of what theyre calling a major incident. Neither department has publicly identified a cause.
Early photos show windows blown out on the first and second floor of the hotel, which has 245 guest rooms and also houses the sushi restaurant Musume.
MedStar, Fort Worths emergency medical services provider, is currently reporting 11 injured, including one critically injured and two seriously injured.

Next day, as I was walking by again, I saw they had dug up the entire street right there. Gas leak under the pavement. I felt like a hero.
