Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale lost out on more than $50 million after losing multiple bets the Houston Astros would win American League Championship Series Game 7 against the Texas Rangers.

Before game time Monday night, the Astros were slightly favored to win Game 7 against the Rangers but ended up losing 11-4 at Minute Maid Park. According to FOX Sports, McIngvale could have won more than $50 million through four or five different bets totaling at least $7.9 million.

McIngvale collected more than $70 million in winnings from bets placed on the Astros after they won the 2022 World Series

The total number of bets and money that Mattress Mack has put down is unclear, but what is obvious is that he has a history of gambling on Astros games. He also uses it as a promotional tactic: Customers who spent $3,000 or more on certain mattresses could have been issues full refunds if the Astros had won.
