Turns out Tarrant County Schools are closed Nov 8

Last edited Fri Nov 4, 2022, 01:28 PM - Edit history (1)

I called up the nearest high school to ask if they were doing any type of transportation assist for their student voters. This school did do a bus run on Tuesday .

Hopefully with schools closed on the 8th those kids will get to the polls. And the teachers, of course.

That was the first thing I thought of. Fortunately, Robb was not a polling site.
This is why some schools are closed on Nov 8. We have several districts in San Antonio which will be closed. However, I think it's going to be an in-service day.

We are using a large number of FWISD schools on Election Day so no school is a good idea.

I heard that one of the concerns with the schools was security and safety for the students. Closing school certainly solves that problem. Also frees up the parking lot

We have 300+ locations on Election Day. Fifty early voting locations.

Total vote as of close of polls yesterday was just under 400,000
just under 30%

So what part of Tarrant? I am in Wedgwood East

I had planned on doing some lit drops today before and after my hair cut but it is raining. If it is not too bad when I get home I'll go out
