Four Cops Showed Up at a Texas Woman's Home Over Her Angry Tweet About Abortion Rights

attie Walker, 24, was asleep when the knocks on her door began—but “once I heard how they were knocking, I figured it was the cops,” she told Jezebel.

Law enforcement officers had shown up to her home in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area, bearing a letter from the Department of Homeland Security, Walker says, due to a tweet she posted in the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

It all began on June 24th—not June 4th, as the letter states—the day that the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was announced. In reaction to the decision, Walker posted an angry quote-tweet in response to a clip of President Biden urging pro-abortion protestors to “keep all protests peaceful.”

“Burn every fucking government building down right the fuck now,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet.. “Slaughter them all. Fuck you god damn pigs.”

Six days later, Walker says, officers arrived at her door. One of the questions they asked, she says, was, “Do you still plan on burning any government buildings down?”

“I said, ‘No, sir. That wasn’t my plan in the first place,’” Walker told me in a phone interview. “I was like, I honestly haven’t even been able to make it to any protests yet.”

OK. I get that what she said is kind of like "inciting to riot" and they might want to know if she had any real plans.

I mean DHS has to be thinking that DEMs are getting pretty tired of being slapped and have no cheeks left to turn. AND things DID get burned during the riots after George Floyd's death.

BUT that preacher is basically putting out a call to arms and advocating selective extinction of anyone who is gay. He has an audience and a lot of them have guns.

It's not free speech when you shout "FIRE" in a movie theater or tell a large group of people that it is "God's Will" that certain people should be executed for a private choice they make with another consenting adult in their own space.

Pro Life Party is pretty anxious to shoot up people once they are born.

Maybe they just need more people for target practice. Creeps.

HIS is so much more obviously over the top and a real threat to human life.

We’re far right extremists, not Democrats, BLM, or antifa

Even though, the people shooting up schools and churches - mass murdering children or people just trying to get through their day - are NOT DEMS, if they can pull a FALSE Equivalency, it seems like they will.

While I agree far right extremists, out of state, rural Minnesota and anarchists were joining the protests to make trouble and blame it on DEMs, BLM and Antifa, I do think some local people who were honestly frustrated got caught up in it.

The daytime protests were peaceful. Night time was bad.

BUT because it happened on OUR WATCH we are being blamed. So the PERCEPTION that DEMs are sick and tired, and the one off his rocker DEM who went after SCOTUS Kavanaugh adds to the perception.

STILL mainly you are right, it wasn't the aim of BLM, DEMs or Antifa to cause destruction.

We had rallies at George Floyd Square and speakers advised people to either not go at night and observe the curfew (We did wind up with the National Guard here for a while. I live in the area that was served by the Fifth Precinct building that was destroyed.) Or failing that to not get involved with property damage.

I am still seeing a lot of out of state license plates in the Twin Cities area, so I think groups are still making trouble here. Still have lots of shots fired, so the 2nd Amendment folks are very active.

We had a huge wave of car jackings for awhile too.

I do believe most of this is being pushed from outside, but many who were arrested from Minnesota were from more suburb or rural areas. There have been a lot of Anarchist tagging and they would join in just to muddy the waters.

You are right, the worst offender was from Boogaloo Bois Texas, he fired a gun in 5th precinct and set fires.

However, there was rioting and looting and property damage during the nights for several weeks and it spread past Minneapolis/St Paul. Most of it was Third Degree Burglary - running into stores and looting. But some of the people setting fires or being involved in the store at the time were from Minnesota even if very few were from the Twin Cities.

You never let the other side know your true plans and you certainly don't give them ammunition against you.

This is TX afterall where they want to jail parents of Trans kids.
