Hamilton County Election Commission site down for a week

The Hamilton County Election Commission site was down for at least a week, blocking all access.

The outage lifted at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It hit just ahead of a key election date, Dec. 22, the first day candidates can pick up petitions and begin the process of appearing on May 2026 primary ballots.

The site was taken down following a security alert tied to third-party software used across several county websites.

Candidate qualification and filing information is available when the site is functioning. When working, the site also has precinct, voter registration, election archive and poll watching information.
