Columbia's landmark 'Obama' gas mart shrugs off Donald Trump's inauguration

COLUMBIA — As Donald Trump took the oath of office to become the nation's 45th president, it was business as usual at the Obama Store and gas station.

Cars and customers filed in and out of the convenience mart along North Main Street that's part of a predominately black neighborhood.

"Oh, it's today?" Tony Selle said Friday when asked about Trump's inauguration. He said he wasn't worried about how his life might be affected by a new president.

"It's not going to make a difference if Trump is president or if Hillary (Clinton) was president," he said. "Nothing's going to change."
