York County residents voice concern over mail-in ballot delays

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — York County residents are voicing concern over what they refer to as “major delays” in receiving their mail-in ballots.

Residents of York County who failed to receive a mail-in ballot after requesting one are now taking matters into their own hands and personally filling out and dropping off their ballots at local election offices.

Failure to deliver mail-in ballots to voters weeks from the November 5 election has sparked distrust among voters and the county.

York County President Commissioner and Election Board Chair Julie Wheeler weighed in on the controversy, saying it is out of the county’s control once the United States Postal Services receives the ballots:
