Bucks County, PA

One of the more populated counties in SE PA near Philly. A Thread from a Democratic outreach person. Found on Facebook.

I door-knocked today for the Harris campaign in Bucks County, PA, one of the most important counties in one of the most important states. I've done a lot of door-knocking in a lot of elections, including this cycle, but what I saw definitely changed my view of this race.

Of course, this is just a single day covering about 90-100 doors. But it was also a persuasion run. We were hitting Ds but also had a list that included Independents and even a few Republicans who were considered possibly persuadable. Only had one pro-Trump door the whole day.



Overall (TL/DR), Dems are motivated, not a single Independent was voting for Trump and instead voting for Harris, moderate Republicans were all voting Harris. Other than the first door I didn't meet a single Trump voter.

2. Good to hear because I drove through Bucks Co.

today & felt a bit disheartened by all the super
sized Trump signs 😩.

But, I think a lot of us Dems are ‘afraid’ to put our
Harris/Walz signs out in red areas. I know I am.

3. T45 support is most obvious is purple areas

There is the most pro TurdSlinger signs and flags in areas with increasing "diversity". Ulster county NY had strongest support for him in 2016. Bucks county is another area like that.

4. What part of. Bucks?

Lower Bucks that abuts Phila is white working class, non college white collar in places like Levittown, Bensalem, Bristol. Lots of them fled across the county line from the Phila River Wards, conservative, and, I'd say, bigoted.
Washington's Crossing area is kind of arts centered and more liberal. Upper and Central Bucks is more the traditional "country club" Rs.

Drove down Durham Rd. and then towards
Southampton.
