Wife and I will be voting by mail but our ballots aren't allowed to be counted until election day.

Now you can vote by mail with no reason needed and Im not sure how early the ballot can be mailed. Doesnt matter as the (stupid) law does not allow for processing ballots til Election Day. Best bet is to use the drop boxes rather than rely on the USPS. Look up your county board of elections for drop box locations and times.

You can request an absentee/mail ballot and cast your vote that way, but the mail ballots can't be processed and counted until election day.
