Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will travel to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago by bus, and the tour will begin in Pittsburgh, according to news reports.

Ms. Harris and Mr. Walz and their respective spouses will be in Pittsburgh on Sunday, according to CNN.

The visit underscores the importance of Pennsylvania and its 19 Electoral College votes to winning the Oval Office in 2024. Ms. Harris announced Mr. Walz as her running mate at a rally in Philadelphia.

The Harris-Walz campaign will come to Western Pennsylvania three days after vice presidential candidate JD Vance plans to make a stop in Lower Burrell on Thursday.

Hopefully the bus will pull up in front of Primanti's in the Strip District. I have a feeling that the Walzes will enjoy a cheesesteak with fries on it.
