Pennsylvania has never elected a woman governor or senator and voted for Trump over Clinton in 2016 even though she had some Pennsylvania roots with her father's family being from NE PA and he and one of her brothers being Penn State alumni.

There have been some breakthroughs at the county level with women recently elected to head Allegheny and Philadelphia counties. The state treasurer is a woman, but that's because she's an R not because of her gender.

Also, the strong women leaders of the Dem Congressional delegation. In Montgomery County, which was critical to delivering PA for Biden-Harris in 2020, also where Shapiro hails from, elected County Commissioners Chair Jamila Winder. Third largest county in PA.

I look forward to conventional wisdom about PA changing on 11/5/2024. Change in PA is happening, it’s not something we’re waiting for. Statewide judges races in 2023 are a quiet indicator of what is likely for 2024.

And Malcom Kenyatta winning the PA Auditor General’s office will be the cherry on top of the victory dessert. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇸

The blue areas of the state will stay blue, I'm sure of it. There is disaffection with Chump ... and that's going to help Kamala quite a bit. Don't forget that Hillary came close to winning Pennsylvania in 2016 and I'm still not convinced that she lost.

It's a different world and a different country now in 2024. We're older and wiser, and I believe the independent voters will give Kamala a chance. I'm hoping she won't choose Gov. Shapiro because I want to keep him in Harrisburg.
