The two people who fell into a tank of chocolate at an Elizabethtown factory have been rescued.
WGAL reported that the two people who became trapped in the tank at an M&M/Mars factory were pulled out by emergency responders this afternoon.
Earlier reports stated that the two people fell into the tank around 1:51 p.m. at the Mars facility on the 200 block of Brown Street in Elizabethtown. The two were uninjured, but unable to escape from the vat full of waist-high chocolate on their own.

OP
Can't even muster a facetious joke on this. It would be beyond horrific, chocolate aside.

I'm surprised they survived--at least as far as we know.

just stuck.

with not a lot of head space in these situations.

Mr. Wonka will be upset.

(14,964 posts)5. When my SO told this story yesterday, I thought
for sure Augustus Gloop or at least Willy Wonka would be mentioned, I thought he was kidding at first. Augustus Gloop's end was the most scary, because it was the most possible(extremely unlikely, yet more possible than the others) The movie came out 5 yes before I was born, so I watched it plenty in reruns and it was the first VCR tape we ever owned, I've probably seen it at least 50 times.
Poor guys, I hope they are ok.

A hole had to be cut in the tank to rescue the 2 workers who were then taken to the hospital, presumably as a precaution.
