This seat (a chunk of new CD 15) is probably not flippable for Dems, but you never know.

With Turzai also retiring, this leaves Senate majority leader Jake Corman, R-Centre, as the top Republican in the state legislature.

1. This is my CD. Good riddance. You're right. It is

not flippable. We don’t even have a candidate running for the House. That means another two years of GT Thompson who will have this seat for life.

glad to see him go. Hopefully we get someone better ( I know halfway decent and sane Republicans are very hard to find) than him if our side doesn't win.

3. I have a friend who is on the Democratic state committee

I’ll see if she’s heard anything yet about who might run for Scarnatti’s seat. I am so disgusted with Thompson. I call his offices often. He’s too much of a coward to hold a town hall (other than on the phone). There was one on Monday. I lasted five minutes.

if Thompson would decided it was time to retire also. No much chance for a pickup for us but one can always hope.

4. Scarnati's in the state senate

so this is a state senate seat, but still pretty unlikely to flip.
