6.0 earthquake off the Oregon coast



The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reports a 6.0 earthquake has struck off the Oregon coast. The quake hit at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The epicenter was 171 miles due west of Bandon, OR.

The quake was initially reported as a 6.1 by the National Weather Service.




No damage or injuries have been reported and no tsunami has been indicated.

It freaks me out. I don't know how anyone can live out there with the wind and constant threat of getting eaten by the ocean
