Dog stolen from owner's car, Portland police say

Portland police are asking for you to be on the lookout for Oreo, who was stolen from her owner's car early Friday morning.

Police said the pup was stolen during a car prowl at around 1 a.m. near Southwest 6th and Oak while her owner was at work.

If you see Oreo please contact police and reference case number 22-133106.

“She is loved and missed by her owner,” police said.

2. Owner leaves dog in car while at work?? I know it's not the heat of

the day, but that doesn't seem right...

I've never owned or lived with a dog, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about here.
I know I'll hear about it soon enough.



The dog is cute and I hope he is returned soon!

3. My first thought as well because I wouldn't

leave a dog in a car for fear of it being stolen.

Unless there are understandable mitigating circumstances, the owner may be loving but also stupid.
