Super 8 owners in Oregon arrested after setting fires at their motel, police say

The owners of a Eugene-area Super 8 motel were arrested Sunday after police say they intentionally set fires at their business twice over three days last month.

Inder P. Singh, 29, and Satinder P. Singh, 50, are both accused of first-degree arson.

The two men are suspected of setting fires at their Creswell motel around 9:20 p.m. on Thanksgiving and around 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 24, according to Oregon State Police. The fires were extinguished and no one was hurt.

There were at least seven people inside six rented rooms on Thanksgiving and the hotel was closed due to the first fire when the second occurred.
