Green Country election results: TPS bond package passes, BA rejects sales tax increase
For the $600 million bond proposal for Tulsa Public Schools, voters are saying yes to all four propositions that the district says would improve school safety, upgrade aging buildings, and expand learning opportunities for students.
We are so thankful to the great city of Tulsa and its residents, who with their votes made it clear that access to safe learning environments and modern resources is a shared priority of the community, said Dr. Ebony Johnson, Tulsa Public Schools Superintendent. Thanks to your support, we will continue the important work of investing in our young people while prioritizing student outcomes.
Tuesdays passage of the four-part, $609 million bond package shows that the Tulsa community stands with our public schools and will invest in our future. From the Tulsa Regional Chamber Board of Directors unanimous endorsement in February to promoting voter participation during the past month, the Chamber is proud to serve a community that cares so deeply about its schools and students, said Mike Neal, president and CEO of Tulsa Regional Chamber
