I'm not in Oklahoma, but I've seen my Oklahoma friends on my facebook feed talking about sirens and shelters and so on ... looks like maybe Shawnee has gotten the worst of it ... I hope all of DU's Oklahomans are weathering the storm okay.

(5,376 posts)I have a cousin in Tulsa. My parents left OK shortly after I was born, moved to the Northwest. Right about now I'm thankful they did that.

(29,325 posts)Just heard about the news at Plaza Towers elementary school. Ugh.
Most of the people I know are okay ... We have a couple of friends in Moore that we haven't heard from, but I think their house was out of the line of the storm. Within 12-15 blocks, I think, but hopefully out of the line.

(41,832 posts)The Green is the May 20th. "Mom" lost electricity, but no other damage. Sister Carol is fine, and has electricity.
