Race for Norman mayor heating up before February election

NORMAN, Okla. — The race for Norman mayor is underway, and as voters get ready to hit the polls, KOCO 5 is introducing you to the candidates.

Three people are hoping to win the mayor’s seat during the February election. Each candidate spoke with KOCO 5 about what kind of experience they would bring to Norman.

“I came here in ’78 before they were born,” said Larry Heikkila, current Norman mayor.

“From my perspective, I just think we need a mayor who’s gonna be collaborative and listens,” said Stephen Tyler Holman, a Norman City Council member.

I swear Mulinix is in there to take votes from Holman and help the current mayor win again.

These local and state elections are where we can take power back. We need to pay attention and vote!

Holman is a great candidate!
