Rep. Dan Kirby meets for nearly four hours with committee investigating sexual harassment claims

OKLAHOMA CITY — Rep. Dan Kirby said he received a fair hearing on Friday before a committee investigating sexual harassment allegations against him.

Kirby, R-Tulsa, met with the House Rules Committee behind closed doors for three hours and 40 minutes.

His attorney, Rachel Mathis of Tulsa, and consultant Sen. Ralph Shortey, R-Oklahoma City, also were present.

“The committee just mainly wanted to know my side of the story and to get the timeline of what happened and to answer questions about Carol Johnson’s allegations of sexual harassment,” Kirby said after the meeting. “We spent several hours going over all of those allegations.
